Hi! I’m Jenny. I have 2 years of ESL teaching experience and 5 years of private tutoring, and I’m about to graduate with a Master’s in Marketing in the UK. I’m currently based in London.
✨ My strengths:
💡 Mandarin conversation — helping you talk endlessly with confidence 💡 Slang & idioms — sounding natural like a native is easier than you think
💡 Cultural exploration — learning Mandarin while exploring the world 💡 Grammar made simple — breaking down the complicated into something easy to understand In my classes,
Mandarin isn’t a cold subject — it’s an adventure full of humor, culture, and sparks of inspiration! My goal is to help you regain confidence in learning and even truly enjoy the language.
🌻 English Conversation Training
Practice through real-life scenarios (ordering at a restaurant, travel dialogues, workplace communication) combined with fun videos and current events to help you express yourself naturally!
🧘♀️ Slang & Everyday Expressions
Learn the slang and phrases commonly used in songs, TV shows, and movies. I’ll also highlight the differences between Chinese culture, so you’ll move beyond just textbook.
👀 Cultural Exploration
From the U.S. and the U.K. to other English-speaking countries, discover cultural differences and the ways they shape language. You’ll not only learn English, but also understand it through the lens of culture and fun stories!
Mandarin is not just something in textbooks, but a tool that connects us to the world. In my classes, I like to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere where students feel confident to speak up without fear of making mistakes—because I truly believe that mistakes are the best opportunities to learn 🤩.
I often bring in examples from daily life, current events, or cultural stories to make Mandarin more vivid and relatable. My teaching style emphasizes interaction and guidance rather than one-way lecturing. I design tailored exercises based on each student’s needs and level—covering conversation, grammar, slang, and cultural exploration—so that what you learn can be applied immediately.
Through step-by-step explanations and plenty of practice, you’ll find that Mandarin isn’t as difficult as it seems, and it can even become more and more enjoyable.
