Then we learn new information such as grammar, expressions, collocations, vocabulary, or some tips/tricks for exams. Thirdly, we do controlled practice (simple tasks to check if you have any difficulties with the topic so we can work on them at this point). Next, we speak and use newly learned points (I always have questions or topics which will help you to speak out using needed grammar etc.) Your homework contains videos, audios, tasks to practice more and recording+writing which I check. I've started teaching in Ukraine 6 years ago, practicing with children. In 2016-17 I've been teaching children 4-12 yo in China and got my TEFL certification. Since then I've been working online with adults of different levels for 3 years and I've crammed all the useful tips and hints on teaching English depending on your needs (for example, the way I teach IELTS is different from how I teach BEC because there are different pitfalls). A year ago I passed IELTS with 7.5 and I continue improving my language and teaching skills (thankfully I have a trait of worrying about my professionalism which pushes me to improve all the time).
