Today we tried to have a longer conversation in Vietnamese about travel. Cô Dương asked me about my travel experience in Taiwan, and I successfully used the vocabs I learnt in the previous lessons. During our conversations, we also learned new vocbas like “đoán”, “chỉ” and “trẻ”. We also have a more in-depth look into the usage of “thử’”,  “sau khi” and “sau này”. In terms of phát âm, cô Dương explained and demonstrated the differences between [ng] and [nh]. After the pronunciation exercise, I think I am now more confident in pronouncing the two sounds.

Sam is an excellent teacher. She's patient and so helpful. It's challenging for me to speak in Vietnamese with others. I feel intimidated and am afraid of making mistakes. Sam doesn't judge, and I feel so comfortable with her! I can tell that after each lesson, my confidence is growing.

I really enjoyed the trial class! Even though my level is very basic, Duong tried to use as much Vietnamese as possible to create an environment where I could listen to and use a lot of the language I'm trying to learn. Thank you so much!

I’ve really enjoyed learning with this teacher. Her classroom environment is always relaxing and welcoming, which makes it easy to focus and participate. She’s very supportive, she corrects mistakes in a positive and encouraging way, which keeps me motivated to learn and improve. She’s also very understanding and willing to work with me whenever I have difficulties, which I really appreciate. I feel like I’ve learned a lot during my time in her class, especially thanks to her clear explanations and insights. She gives great reasons for when certain words are used and helps me understand the difference between words of Chinese origin and other vocabulary. Overall, I highly recommend her as a teacher!

I just finished my trial Vietnamese lesson with Glenda and it was a super fun class. We focused mainly on learning the alphabet, and she was very patient and clear in explaining each letter and sound. What I really appreciated was how much she helped me with pronunciation — she corrected me gently and even gave me a few vocabulary I could use when learning certain double and triple vowels. Glenda creates a friendly and supportive atmosphere, which makes it easy to ask questions and practice without feeling nervous. I’m looking forward to learning more with her and would definitely recommend her to anyone starting Vietnamese!

I just had my first Vietnamese learning session with Ty, and it was a fantastic experience! Ty speaks both English and Vietnamese fluently, which made it easy to understand new concepts and feel comfortable asking questions. His interactive teaching style kept me engaged the entire time and I left the session feeling motivated and excited to continue learning. has 100% fluent in both english and vietnamese... (american english accent and Southern vietnamese accent) easy to communicate with .. Perhaps add some type of structured course material ?

Lily makes learning a new language so much easier. My kids have learned so much from her even though she lives in a whole other country. She is such a great tutor who changes the lesson plans for each of my kids. Thanks, Lily!

I chose Francis because he was the first option listed to me when I was searching for a Vietnamese tutor. I didn't put too much thought into it but have been very satisfied with my choice since. While I think my Vietnamese is good, I don't have a lot of opportunities to improve or advance it due to me living in a different country. Our lessons consists of questions that requires me to think and construct more complex thoughts in Vietnamese and Francis helps me put those thoughts into conversation and I learn additional vocabulary along the way. He is a fun and lively fellow so even though I tend to be shy and nervous when meeting new people, he is someone that is easy to get along with and is enthusiastic about teaching Vietnamese to others.

The teacher has prepared easy-to-follow learning materials, making it simple to get started. The classroom atmosphere is joyful, and time flies during lessons. Learning feels relaxed and enjoyable, especially since the teacher explains in both Chinese and English, making everything easy to understand. Highly recommended for other students!

I've learned a lot of grammar from Mr. Francis so far, but I haven’t had many chances to actually speak. So I was really happy and surprised that he prepared a conversation lesson today! Thank you so much. I’ll review well so I can speak even better next time.

Cô Yến is very patient and helped to adjust the lesson scope based on my requests (e.g. my weakness was in listening, and she help to include more activities that tests my listening skills). She also has a very personable personality and is easy to talk to!
