Hi! I’m Daniele, an Italian language tutor (and pilot!) based in Italy ✈️. My experience as a pilot has given me discipline, attention to detail and a passion for communication across cultures — skills I bring into every lesson.
I’m passionate about sharing my love for Italian with people from all walks of life. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you on your journey.
Over 10 years of experience teaching Italian to students of all ages and levels, including those with ADHD, Dyslexia, Memory Challenges, or recovering from brain injuries. I’ve developed personalized techniques to help everyone succeed.
I teach students ranging from children as young as 5 years old to adults up to 80 years old, always adapting to each person’s pace and learning style. No one will be left behind: I guide every student step by step, even if it means revisiting topics multiple times. Everyone has their own rhythm and deserves to be supported without pressure, in a way that makes them feel comfortable and motivated to learn.
I also teach children, even if they don’t speak a second bridge language, using various methods such as drawing, songs, and games. My lessons include interactive exercises with digital vocabulary tools, reading books, novels, historical and cultural texts, and exploring Italian traditions. I often incorporate dictation, listening activities from movies or TV series, and oral comprehension exercises.
I place a strong focus on details, including real-time correction of mistakes and dedicated pronunciation work, which I consider essential, with targeted diction exercises to help students speak clearly and confidently.
I am a certified professional and hold a C2 qualification in the T.E.A. (Test of English for Aviation), reflecting my commitment to clear communication and effective teaching, even with international students.
My multilingual background (Italian, English, and some Spanish) helps me understand your challenges and connect with diverse students.
I hold several verified teaching certifications, including:
- "Psicologia dell'Apprendimento" (Educational Psychology"
- "Pedagogia: e Ricerca Educativa" (Pedagogy and Educational Research)
- “Insegnare le lingue straniere: teorie, metodi e strumenti” (Teaching foreign languages: theories, methods and tools)
- “L’italiano degli stranieri nel mondo e in Italia” (Italian for foreigners in the world and in Italy)
- “L’italiano accademico” (Academic Italian)
- “Preply Language Teaching Certificate” (Certificate in teaching languages on the Preply platform)
These qualifications ensure a professional, updated and effective approach to language teaching.
Hi there! I'm excited to have our trial lesson together.
Just a quick reminder to use a computer or laptop for the lesson, as Preply doesn't work well on tablets or mobile phones.
Regarding scheduling:
If you ever need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. This helps ensure that the slot remains available for other students and allows me to properly prepare for your personalized lesson.
After the trial:
You’ll have two days to subscribe at the current price. Feel free to take your time, but I encourage you to book soon to secure your spot!
Confirming lessons:
After each lesson, don’t forget to confirm it in the "My Lessons" section—this allows me to get paid for the session. If lessons aren't confirmed, future lessons could be canceled, and your priority for booking new lessons might be affected. Confirming the lesson is simply a matter of respect for both my work and your learning progress!
Learning with me:
No worries if you're starting from scratch—I’m here to guide you through every step of your Italian learning journey. We'll only move on to new topics once you're comfortable with what we've covered. Your progress is my top priority.
Lesson frequency:
My standard rate is 55 dollars per hour, which reflects the value of personalized lessons. However, I also offer varying rates based on demand and special promotions throughout the month. You may have noticed different prices for your trial lesson, and that flexibility allows me to accommodate different students. I encourage at least two lessons per week to ensure steady progress, and if you wish to have more frequent lessons, the rate may adjust slightly based on your needs.
Headset:
If you have a headset, I highly recommend using it—it can help you catch more details in my pronunciation, especially as you're getting used to the language.
If you have any questions, I’m always here to help!
F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions):
Do you teach groups?
No, I focus on individual lessons to ensure personalized attention.
Can my husband and I have lessons together?
Unfortunately, lessons are one-on-one, but you can either create a separate account for your husband or alternate lesson days (e.g., Monday and Wednesday for you, Tuesday and Friday for him).
Do you give homework?
Yes, but only when it's necessary to reinforce the lesson content. Not every lesson will require homework.
