Why I teach: English changed my life for the better, it gave me opportunities I could never have had withouth it. It got me my first job and allowed me to live in another country; overall, it gave me amazing experiences I would not have had otherwise. Now, my job and passion is to help others accomplish their dreams through English. 1. Conversational English: Talk About Your Real Life We talk about your interests or specific topics through videos or articles, and practice summarizing a topic, explaining a situation, etc. Through that, we let the conversation flow, and just talk like real people :) While you spek, I write down all of your mistakes, and once you are done speaking (so I don't interrupt you) I correct them and explain how to improve. 2. Pronunciation: Sound Clearer in 8 Weeks We do phonics so you have a good base and understand how words should be pronounced. We also do shadowing through articles. Once you are ready, you read without my help to test your learning and improved pronounciation. I provide custom material that with a guide in your native language (any language) that explains what sounds from your language you should use in English, and how. 3. Academic Writing We make an outline and a plan for your essay or written assingment, after that you write the paragraphs in the outline form. Once you have that, we make it "essay form" as the first draft. After that we wait at least until the next day to review again, and practice proofreading and correcting mistakes, re-writting paragraphs, and sounding clearer. Send your draft 24 hours before class 4. Business English: English for Meeting, Interviews, and Emails We talk about the phrases of corporate English or the phrases specific to your job or situation both in emails and spoken English. We then practice using them: press conference mock, interview mock, meeting mock, or we write an email (solving a problem, asking for a raise, contacting a client, etc) I provide custom materials with vocabulary specific to your job and needs. I also studied in the US, so I know everyday English and colloquial English, as well as the expectations for email writing, meetings, academic essays, etc. What to expect in your trial class: A diagnostic of your level and a plan to improve English based on your needs Classroom Rules: 1.
