Cello Teaching Overview
I am an active cellist with extensive experience in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance. My teaching focuses on turning professional performance training into a clear and well-structured learning process suitable for students at different levels. The goal is to build solid fundamentals, develop a good sense of tone, and help students grow into independent and expressive musicians.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s age and level, covering posture, bowing, left-hand technique, intonation, rhythm, and basic musical interpretation. I also guide students in effective practice methods to prevent tension and unhealthy habits. Whether you are a beginner, preparing for auditions or competitions, or learning for personal enjoyment, lessons are designed to match your goals and pace.
Teaching Strengths
Performer-Oriented Approach
Lessons are based on real performance experience, helping students understand why they practice certain techniques rather than simply copying movements.
Strong Technical and Tone Foundation
Emphasis is placed on long-term technical development, including body use, bow control, tone quality, and musical phrasing.
Clear and Structured Teaching
Complex technical issues are broken down into simple, practical steps, making learning efficient and accessible.
Experience with Exams and Professional Training
Familiar with music school, conservatory, and graduate-level (including DMA) requirements, I support students with repertoire preparation and study planning.
Focus on Musical Understanding
Lessons include musical background and style guidance to help students develop their own musical voice.
Latest Updates
I continue to perform actively in solo and chamber music settings and collaborate with musicians from different fields, bringing fresh performance insights into my teaching. I also take part in music education and outreach programs, sharing the cello with students through school and community performances. Individual lessons are available with both fixed and flexible scheduling.
